Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection Systems
With Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection Systems, disinfection is provided by using UV-C rays without adding any chemicals to the water. When these rays come into contact with microorganisms in the water, they break down and kill DNA structures through photooxidation.
In the UV Reactor, which forms the main body of the Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection Devices, special UV lamps that produce UV-C rays with a wavelength of 254 nm and special quartz glasses with a high light transmittance rate that prevent the contact of these lamps with water are used. With the time counter on the control panel of the UV Device, the working hours of the UV lamps are tracked, so that the lamps are replaced with new ones when it is time to change. In some models, the light intensity in the UV reactor is measured online by the UV sensor, the decrease in light intensity, etc. In such cases, the quartz glass covers can be cleaned optionally with the automatic quartz cleaning system.
Advantages of ultraviolet systems:- It does not create by-products and residual substances in water.
- It does not affect the taste of water.
- There is no formation of corrosive substances.
- It is economical.
