Steam Separator General Features
Steam Separator is an equipment with the main function of separating water and steam and is usually found in the steam boiler. The water surface in the steam boiler is turbulent, so it is easy for steam and water to mix with each other.
The principle of the steam separator is to change the steam flow in any direction. Since the vapor density is lighter than water, it enables the steam to be dispersed more easily than water. The water droplet with a higher density will be separated from the steam and will be dropped to the bottom of the separator. If water or wet steam is dispensed into the steam line, moisture causing damage and erosion will be removed with a Steam Separator.
Working Principle of Steam Serger
As Steam enters the Steam Separator , a series of chambers change the flow direction several times. During this process, the baffles in the enclosure collect the distorted water droplets carried in the system. Gravity allows accumulated water droplets and other foreign particles to fall into the drain and exit the system through a steam trap. The steam remaining in the system is clean and dry, providing improved and sustained performance.
