Polyurethane
Polyurethanes, unlike other plastics; that is, it is formed by chemical processes in the mold. While producing polyurethane soles, solid raw materials and additives are turned into liquid foam and squirted into the mold. The chemical events between the mixed materials continue and after a short time polyurethane is formed.
The internal structures of polyurethane soles are a porous spongy structure. Therefore, their specific gravity is quite low. Due to these features, it can be used easily on thick or filled bases. Polyurethane soles are widely used in shoemaking due to their high slip resistance as well as being light.
Polyurethane is superior to products such as rubber, eva, pvc in terms of wear resistance, flexibility, low density and easy application. It is also used for outer soles, inner soles, mid soles, soles of sports shoes, slippers and sandals.
